How many houses have you lived in? How is where you live now different from where you grew up?
I have lost count of the number of houses I have lived in. I can remember my first home in Hamilton, Ohio which was a run-down rental when I was in first grade. I can remember lying in my bed one day with my foot pressed up agains the window and pushng the glass in my window out. Why you may ask? Because I wondered if I could so I tried it.
I spent my first 27 years in Ohio in approximately six houses. I move to Kansas and lived in two houses. In 1981, I moved to Las Vegas and since living here, I have lived in seven houses. Las Vegas is very different from Hamilton, Ohio. Las Vegas is much more sophisticated (and cheesy at the same time) and the population is much more diverse. I have met and worked with a host of different nationalities and made many friends over the years. I complain about the weather quite a bit--HOT--but just today my sister in Hamilton, Ohio had to endure a tornado alert. Nothing is ever perfect I suppose.
Some day, regardless of the occasional tornadic activity, I plan to move back to Hamilton to be close to the family because Hamilton will always be my Home Sweet HOme.
